John Ciepiela

A Realtor since 2004, John works hard building a large network of buyers and sellers from the ground up. His reputation and dedication as a full time Realtor in the community has secured him strong relationships with both his clients and local professionals. John has consistently ranked in the top 5% of all Real Estate Agents throughout Berkshire County.
 
John is always looking to educate himself as much as possible to better serve his clients. John realized that many clients were in financial distress, and unsure of their options. John wanted answers for these clients and got further education in not only the foreclosure process, but the short sale process as well. John earned the designation of Loss Mitigation Specialist (LMC) with the Massachusetts Association of Realtors and currently works with several banks including Bank of America, Chase, and numerous local banks to help clients avoid foreclosure. Many local Attorneys and Realtors consult with John on a regular basis pertaining to distressed properties. John is currently preparing to acquire his Brokers license.
 
John believes a well-balanced Realtor provides not only excellent service to his clients, but should also be able to secure ample time with his family and still volunteer and give back to the community. Since John’s career launched in 2004, John has been involved with The United Way, Unico, and The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Currently, John was invited to join a local group called the Westside Legends as a Realtor partner, and he also consults with the leadership group on real estate trends, and advice. 

In 2023, John started a community outreach program, the Brighter Futures Foundation as part of the Westside Legends to encourage and foster positive self-actions with local children directed towards positive life long changes. 

John currently resides in Windsor with his wife, Kellie, of 33 years, and together they started a Property Management company, JK Rental Properties, to assist their investment clients.

We would recommend selecting John as your realtor without hesitation. Our property is wonderful but more difficult to sell because it is in a rural and remote hilltop setting. We had used a well known, prestige realty brand last year and virtually no demand was raised. The sales process was very reactive. We changed to John when we put it back on the market this year and his energy, diligence and strong efforts made all the difference. His team was extremely proactive across social media platforms with continuous reverse inquiry efforts. He immediately set up a series of Open Houses for realtors and interested buyers and got good throughput which generated much higher level of demand. He remained continuously active on social media. All these efforts paid off almost immediately. Where demand was non existent in 2018, suddenly there was multiple interest (and I don't think the market has improved). Within weeks, the property, which had languished for the entire prior year, was well positioned for sale. Two months later we closed with a full price offer. John came highly recommended by a friend of ours (a retired former realtor) after the house had been on the market for two years. We'd had very little constructive feedback from potential buyers and were at a loss as to how to proceed. We met with John and were impressed by his knowledge of how to  use social media to find potential buyers. When we had one insulting lowball offer, John agreed that we would not counter with anything but the full price. When a different buyer made an offer that was close to what we wanted, we had confidence that John was advising us on a counter offer that would not scare the buyer away and that was within what we hoped to get. And throughout the inspection and appraisal process, he dealt with contractors (for fixing small things the inspector found), the individual who put in the smoke/CO2 alarms that were up to code, the fire inspector, and the appraiser. Most of what we did after we accepted the offer was to make sure the house was cleaned out and the lawn was mowed. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

Bought a home in 2013.

After calling and emailing many agents in that area and getting little to no response, I contacted John. I was frustrated that no one would sell me the house I wanted. They all up sold me and told me why I shouldn't buy that house! John was different. He sent me every house in the area with daily  updates and didn't mind chatting with me about the different areas and what they offered. The house we wanted had sold a few days before and it was an amazing deal. John said he loved a challenge. When I saw another house I loved, I called the agent listed, to be kind. No response. So I called John and signed an exclusive selling agreement.. He hired a house flipper to inspect the property for a low fee as we couldn't be there. We bought the house with John's expertise and never saw it until we were closing on it. John is THAT GOOD! We bought a house we never saw in person because John gave us such great photos and reports all we needed to do was sign some papers. The house was beautiful and he even knew a car service to get us back to the airport. At this moment he is coordinating repairmen and contractors for us. When you hire John, you get his team of everyone in town who does everything. And he didn't up sell us, he negotiated the house down once we found it!
